WHY LEARN TURKISH?



Turkish is spoken by over 63 million people mainly in Turkey and North Cyprus. There are also Turkish communities in Germany, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Greece, the Caucasus and Central Asia.

The Turkish language is also similar to other Turkic languages such as Azerbaijani (or azeri), Turkmen and some other central Asian languages and it is possible to get by to some extent from Turkey to China if you know Turkish. 



Turkey is a a land of myth where the East meets the West. The country boasts a spicy blend of oriental, western, ancient and modern. It enchants its visitors with its many beauties which include the dramatic Mediterranean coastline, much of which is called the "Turquoise Coast" due to the beautiful colour of the sea, many ancient sites left by great civilizations scattered throughout its land, stunning modern and vibrant cities, the beautiful desert lands of the East, snow covered mountains, gorges and hills coated with tea plantations, lakes, rivers and forests. Turkey holds back many surprises for visitors who truly want to explore it.



Turkey is the perfect place for a holiday and many British people know this and have recently started buying property in Turkey or moved there to start up a business and take advantage of the country's beauty and sunny climate along the coast. 

With the Turkish economy growing, it looks like Turkey will be an important business country in the near future and Turkish will become an important language for business.



Turkish is a fascinating language and is very different from English. It is also a very poetical language and full of expression. If you can communicate in Turkish whilst in Turkey, it will open the doors to this fascinating culture and be welcomed by its hospitable people.
