Germany is the 4th largest economy in the world and ranks number 1 in exports, making German an essential language for business.
Germany is also the UK's biggest trading partner. German companies account for over 315,000 jobs in the UK and the majority of these are in the South East of England.
Germany plays a key role in the European Union and it goes without saying that any knowledge of the language will improve career prospects for those wishing to go into business or work in the European Union.
Germany is culturally rich so not only will knowledge of German open the doors for career opportunities, it will also allow you to be immersed in a fascinating culture rich in literature, music, art and philosophy.
Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein & Switzerland all offer spectacular tourist attractions whether visiting cities, villages, mountains, forests, lakes or the Christmas markets and being able to communicate in German will furthermore allow any learner to benefit from leisure trips to these countries.

ABOUT YOUR TUTOR
Susanne is a native German speaker. She spent her childhood and adolescence in Frankfurt a.M. and subsequently lived for 3 Years in Germany’s capital Berlin before moving to the UK in her early twenties. Susanne holds a diploma in Architecture but she has studied languages such as Spanish, French and Latin to A-level standard, sparking her passion for language and informing her understanding of language concepts and grammar.
She started giving German tuition in 2010 and has since been teaching GCSE/A-level students as well as adult learners of various ability and background.
Reasons for wanting to learn a language can be manifold: For business purposes, for leisure and tourism, for enhancing communication with (foreign) friends or family, for exploring one’s roots, for in depth studies of foreign literacy - to name but few. Susanne is very happy to tailor her teaching approach according to each student’s specific needs and will help to identify learning targets.
Through reading and writing practice, through conversation and with the aid of a variety of media you will gradually build up new vocabulary, improve your understanding of relevant grammar and enhance your capability to communicate.
